OBEDIENCE:

“THE LOVE FOR THE MOST HIGH GOD OF ISRAEL.”

The apostle John wrote, “This is love for {Ahayah ashar Ahayah}, I Am that I Am” to obey His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome” (1 John 5:3). Many have rightly said that it is impossible for a man who loves God to say. “No Lord,” because if Christ is truly our Lord, we cannot refuse Him.

Obedience is submission to the instructions of an authority. Our obedience to Christ commands is proof to The Most High and to everyone watching us that Christ indeed is Lord of our lives. The act of baptism for a new Christian is the first act of obedience in response to the commands of Jesus Christ.

“To obey is better than sacrifice” (Sam. 15:22) The Most High doesn’t want you just to give more money to the church, now the pastor would like that, but we don’t live for the pastor now do we? The Most High isn’t looking to see how many hours you spent witnessing. It doesn’t really matter how much you feel you had to give up to follow Christ. He wants to see if you have truly heard him. He wants to see you obey.

Luke: 6;46 contains Jesus’ question, “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord’, and do not what I say?” Before we decide He was talking to someone else, we must think carefully over the past few weeks. Has The Most High told us to do some things that we have not done? Is the obedience response a normal part of our lives? The Most High God of Israel loves obedience.
